Let’s face it, not everyone is particularly technical. I never really thought I was until I discovered the geek in me. I was, and still am, on occasion, an actor, for heaven’s sake. Unfortunately, the fear of technology is keeping people, who have great businesses, from promoting themselves more successfully online.
Word Press (the blogging platform of choice for most professionals) is not particularly hard to operate, especially now. When I first started, you had to do strange things such unzip files and upload them in an FTP program. Now it is fairly simple. Most hosting sites have a very simple installation for Word Press and the back office of the blog is almost completely automated. There are plug-ins that do practically anything you want them to, whether it is sharing over social media sites, making comments fun, adding opt in boxes, or making your blog run better.
Still, not everyone has the time or interest to watch online Word Press tutorials, or take blogging classes. That’s totally okay. There are ways to get yourself online and rocking with a gorgeous looking blog without stressing out.
Sharp Biz Image helps business owners and others get their blogs installed and configured, to enable them to have a platform to interact with others on the Internet. Static websites just don’t cut it anymore. Facebook and Twitter aren’t enough. You have to have a hub on the Internet that you can call your own.
We will hold your hand until you can take over the controls yourself. Some people want everything done for them, and others simply want to learn at their own pace, with a person who can give them one on one attention. Whatever it is YOU need, we will help you accomplish it.
Even though the geek in me was recently discovered only a couple years ago, I am not a hard coding (as in Social Network) programmer. You don’t have to be. I am just an ordinary person who knows the power of what Word Press can do for your visibility and business. As far as I’m concerned, every business should have a Word Press blog as their main website.
Some people think that just because they have a blog it means they must sit around blogging all day long. Word Press blogs can be designed to look like high end websites, but are WAY more functional. For one thing, you can make edits and changes anytime you want. A theme can be popped on and off until you find one that turns you on. Hard coding is actually discouraged if you want to keep your blog upgraded without the assistance of your programmer. Sometimes a tweak in a theme can throw the entire site off when Word Press comes out with a new version. Most free, and certainly premium themes, are upgraded on a regular basis. All you need to do is upload your header, change any colors or add a cool background and you’re set.
In addition to setting up blogs, I have a background in sales and marketing. Most true geeks do not. They will design a website that looks pretty but may not attract customers. Some designers have no clue about search engine optimization. Did you know Flash sites do not get picked up by Google? I just took down a static website for someone that had a font that was basically un-readable on some systems. A blog has plug-ins that will even make it smart phone ready.
So why not quit doing business the old fashioned and expensive way? (buying advertising, passing out flyiers, and spending hours networking with the wrong people) Instead, start distinguishing yourself online and market yourself in a way that will make you money rather than spend it.
We would love to help, whether it is simply helping you operate your existing Word Press blog or setting up a new and awesome one. Give us a call. 818-515-7880 The fact that I’m not a full fledged geek makes us affordable. If we cannot take care of your problem, we will refer you someone who can.
