Whether tis nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of getting no traffic. Or to take arms against a sea of technical difficulties. And by opposing end them. To let your blog die, or forget about it. . .
There are many reasons to have a blog. For some, it is simply to feature their existing business online without being subservient to a webmaster every time they want to make a change and to save money. For others it is a way to create a passive income and a flexible lifestyle. Both make perfect sense. Not everyone was born to be a prolific blogger. No matter what your choice is, it is important to know why you have a blog in the first place and how to make it work for you.
Option 1 – All you want is an online presence for your business
If your goal is to have potential clients connect with you online for the purpose of making money, you have to take the time to send them to your site. If you don’t, you have just another of the millions of lonely websites out there that no one looks at. Make sure you have your website included on all your marketing materials. Encourage people to visit your site when you meet them in public. Insert your site on every social networking profile you create.
One big mistake I see business owners make is not putting a live link to their website on videos and podcasts. A live link means you are using http:// before your domain address. Just a www doesn’t cut it. On Youtube, for example, your website url should be the very first thing you enter in your description when you upload your video. If someone watches one of your videos and has nowhere to click, you may as well say good-bye to them. They are off to the next video or website that catches their eye.
Make sure you offer various ways to connect with your customers and potential clients. These include a contact form (for questions or concerns) a mailing list opt in (your newsletter) social networking sites, and phone number. The more obvious your phone number is, the better chance you will get phone calls.
If you don’t want to write blog posts, at least offer valuable quick tips on Facebook and Twitter with occasional links to your blog site.
Option 2 – Your Blog is Your Lottery Ticket to a Fabulous Lifestyle.
Once you pay for hosting your blog, your website is essentially free to operate. You can make a 6 figure income without spending another dime, or working too hard, if you play your cards right. One person who has become a highly successful blogger and mentor for many other top Internet Marketing guru’s is Yaro Starak. His free Blog Profit Blueprint on PDF and on Audio is 2 hours worth of the most realistic and comprehensive content on blogging I have ever heard.
He discusses what he has done in the past and present to monetize his blog , and does it in such a way that you will not go into a state of overwhelm. It’s easy to become completely confused once you start getting bombarded by all the hungry marketers on the Internet. Pretty soon every webinar starts to sound the same and ends with an expensive up-sell. Yaro calmly, and with no pressure at all, gives you straight facts on ways to make money on your blog right away.
It’s definitely worth a listen and/or read. You never know. You may be the next Internet Millionaire. Learn more about Yaro Starak HERE
